INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. The plough is intended for removing loose material on the inside of the return side of a conveyor belt ahead of take-ups, drive and tail pulleys, instead of a "V" plough (Brelko E401) when discharge can only be accepted to one side of the belt.

2. Refer to the assembly instruction parts list and DRG BS022 to confirm that all the necessary parts have been supplied and that the plough is correctly assembled.
Note: The plough can be altered to discharge to the left or right and the angle to the belt direction varied between 3Q0 to 600.

3. The return belt at the plough position must be flat and supported ahead and behind the plough.

4. With reference to the DRG's PVO1 9 select the most suitable position for the plough. The connecting links (5) should be near horizontal and the plough angle adjusted in the 300 to 600 range.

5. Mark out the mounting holes for the two mountings (4).
Note: The mountings may be fitted on top, inside or below the conveyor stringers to accommodate the position of the return belt and the conveyor decking, bracing etc..

6. Fix the mounting frame (4) firmly in position. Tapered washers may be required.

7. Ensure that the plough is securely linked to its frame and that the carrier/blade assembly (1,6) is central.

8. It may be necessary to trim the ends of the carrier/blade assembly (1,6) to clear the stringers during vertical movement. Ensure that at least a 50mm overlap both sides over the belt is maintained.

9. Securely lock the swivel clamp assembly (2,3) to the carrier (1).

10. Tighten the lock nuts holding the top plate (3) to the swivel clamp (2).

11. Check for free up and down movement of the plough and for good contact with the belt. Adjust if necessary.
