1. Referring to the parts list check that the correct parts and quantities have been supplied for the model and belt width of scraper ordered.

2. Normally scrapers are supplied with blades (3) and buffers (4) assembled on the Carrier Shaft (1). If not then assemble as shown.

3. Carefully align the blades (3) by adjusting their position and the buffers (4). Check that the blades (3) are free to deflect forwards and backwards as necessary.

4. CAUTION Do not over tighten the blade (3) screws as the ceramic parts are brittle.

5. Check that the torsion twist mount (2) drive end fits into the carrier (1). Trim if necessary.

1. Refer to general arrangement Drg. E951 -CD-02.

2. NOTE! Handle assembled scraper with care as the ceramic-boron blades are easily damaged.

3. Mark out nearside chute accurately by establishing exact pulley diameter + lagging + belt thickness.

4. Mark scraper contact point.

5. Find scraper shaft centre from dimensions C & D.

6. Position nearside mounting bracket over scraper shaft centre.

7. Cut access opening on chute side according to inside dimensions of mounting bracket (F & F)
NOTE! Shield conveyor belt and head pulley whilst cutting openings.

8. Tack weld bracket to chute side.

9. Find shaft centre on far side as in 3, 4 & 5 above.

10. Fit far side bracket as in 6, 7 & 8 above.

11. Install scraper through nearside opening.

12. Fit nearside and far side flanged bearings over scraper shaft and bolt to mounting brackets.

13. Centralize scraper on pulley.

14. Check that scraper is in even contact with belt. If necessary adjust position of mounting brackets. Check free rotation of scraper shaft.

15. Weld brackets to chute sides.

16. Cut scraper carrier shaft flush with nearside outer bearing flange.

17. Insert torsion twist unit.
NOTE! This needs to be inserted so that rotation to increase scraper pressure will cause the locking holes to line up.

18. Rotate torsion twist unit one hole space and insert 10mm bolt and fit access opening inspection cover.

19. Once conveyor is running pressure can be increased for better cleaning but at a higher wear rate.

20. After running 3 days adjust tension if necessary.
