SCRAPER BLADE SELECTION GUIDE

  1. Polyurethane - low abrasion, high impact, low-medium speed.

  2. Stainless steel (304) - corrosive, low abrasion e.g. chemicals, food etc.

  3. Chrome steel hardened - medium abrasion, corrosive, low speed e.g. Coal, clay, fertilizer, wood etc.

  4. Tungsten carbide - high abrasion e.g. stone, gravel, sand, ore, coal etc.

  5. Triplex tungsten carbide - high abrasion, impact, corrosion e.g. slurry, coke, silica etc.

  6. Ceramic - medium abrasion, low impact, primary scrapers.

  7. Boron carbide - high abrasion, low impact, high speed, primary and secondary scrapers.

SCRAPER MOUNTING SELECTION GUIDE

  1. Standard adjustable mountings - most common use, low cost. Manual adjustments for blade wear and correct pressure against the belt. Scraper models: E101, E151, E201, E301, E801

  2. Torsion arm mountings - auto compensating for blade wear, varying belt thickness, eases passage of belt fasteners (clips), suitable for reversing belts. Limit to 3m/s belt speed. Scraper models: E101, E201, E701.

  3. Torsion twist mounting - maintains even blade pressure of primary scrapers against head pulleys. Space saving chute side fixing. Accurate positioning required, not receptive to major belt damage, breakage etc.
