BLOCKED CHUTE DETECTORS

INDUSTRY	:	Mining / Cement / Quarrying / Chemical / Processing Plants
PROCESS	:	Feeding process material onto conveyors.
PROBLEM	:	Chutes sometimes plug up for various reasons. When the process material stops flowing out of the chute, material starts to bank up inside the chute. This may be dangerous to staff and usually causes production losses.
SOLUTION	:	A blocked chute detector may be fitted to a chute at a position where the process material normally will not be present except when banking up due to a blockage. The detector may initiate an alarm and/or directly stop the infeed of more process material.
