Chutes

Introduction

Feed and discharge chutes enable material to be loaded and emptied from conveyor belts.  The design and layout of chutes is therefore extremely important to ensure that material is placed on to the belt at the correct position, that unnecessary degradation of material is prevented and that dust and spillage are contained.

The attributes of chutes, layout and design considerations of chutes and chute liners are addressed in this section.
